قام رئيس الهيئة العامة لرصد المحتوى الإعلامي الدكتور جلال عثمان بزيارة عمل إلى المجلس الوطني للحريات وحقوق الإنسان ظهر اليوم الثلاثاء، حيث كان في استقباله المكلف بتسيير أعمال المجلس الأستاذ عبدالمولي رمضان أبونتيشة ، بحضور مدير إدارة التعاون الدولي الأستاذ سالم الطيب.
وتناول اللقاء سبل تعزيز التعاون المؤسسي بين الجانبين عبر إطلاق وتنفيذ مبادرات وبرامج مشتركة تستهدف دعم منظومة حقوق الإنسان وترسيخ مبادئ حرية الرأي والتعبير، وضمان الحق في الوصول إلى المعلومات، وتعزيز قيم المساءلة والشفافية، بما يتماشى مع المعايير الدولية ذات الصلة ومرجعيات القانون الدولي لحقوق الإنسان . ..
وأكد الجانبان أن العلاقة بين الإعلام وحقوق الإنسان علاقة تكاملية لا غنى لأحدهما عن الآخر في العصر الرقمي، حيث يشكل الإعلام الحر والمستقل ركيزة أساسية لتعزيز الحوكمة الرشيدة، ونشر الوعي بثقافة حقوق الإنسان، وتمكين الجمهور من متابعة قضايا الحقوق والحريات الأساسية ، فضلاً عن دوره في رصد الانتهاكات وتسليط الضوء عليها وفق مبادئ النزاهة المهنية والمسؤولية المجتمعية وأخلاقيات العمل الصحفي.
كما شدد اللقاء على أهمية الإعلام بوصفه شريكاً رئيسياً في بناء مجتمع قائم على سيادة القانون وتعزيز المشاركة المدنية ورفع الوعي بالالتزامات الوطنية والدولية في مجال حقوق الإنسان.
وفي ختام اللقاء، اتفق الطرفان على تنظيم ندوة مشتركة خلال الفترة المقبلة حول دور الإعلام في إدارة قضايا حقوق الإنسان، بمشاركة نخبة من الإعلاميين والصحافيين والحقوقيين وممثلي الجهات ذات العلاقة، بما يسهم في تطوير الخطاب الإعلامي الحقوقي وتعزيز التعاون بين المؤسسات المعنية.
ويأتي هذا التعاون انطلاقاً من الأهمية المتزايدة للدور الذي يلعبه الإعلام في حماية الحقوق والحريات الأساسية ، وباعتباره شريكاً محورياً في نشر الوعي المجتمعي وبناء رأي عام مستنير قادر على دعم الإصلاحات وتعزيز الثقة بين المؤسسات والمجتمع، بما يسهم في ترسيخ بيئة ديمقراطية قائمة على سيادة القانون واحترام الكرامة الإنسانية.

The Chairman of the General Authority for Media Content Monitoring, Dr. Jalal Othman, paid a working visit to the National Council for Civil Liberties and Human Rights on Tuesday afternoon. He was received by Mr. Abdulmawla Ramadan Abunetisha, Acting Head of the Council, in the presence of the Director of the International Cooperation Department, Mr. Salem Al-Tayeb.
The meeting addressed ways to strengthen institutional cooperation between the two sides through the launch and implementation of joint initiatives and programs aimed at supporting the human rights system, promoting freedom of opinion and expression, ensuring the right of access to information, and reinforcing the principles of accountability and transparency, in line with relevant international standards and the framework of international human rights law.
Both parties emphasized that the relationship between media and human rights is complementary and indispensable in the digital age. A free and independent media serves as a fundamental pillar for promoting good governance, raising awareness of human rights culture, and enabling the public to follow issues related to fundamental rights and freedoms. It also plays a key role in monitoring violations and shedding light on them in accordance with principles of professional integrity, social responsibility, and journalistic ethics.
The meeting further underscored the importance of media as a key partner in building a society based on the rule of law, enhancing civic participation, and raising awareness of national and international human rights obligations.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to organize a joint seminar in the coming period on the role of media in addressing human rights issues, with the participation of a distinguished group of media professionals, journalists, human rights experts, and representatives of relevant institutions. This initiative aims to advance human rights-focused media discourse and strengthen cooperation among concerned entities.
This collaboration reflects the growing importance of the media’s role in protecting fundamental rights and freedoms, as well as its position as a central partner in raising public awareness and fostering an informed public opinion capable of supporting reforms and enhancing trust between institutions and society. Ultimately, it contributes to establishing a democratic environment grounded in the rule of law and respect for human dignity.
