أصدر الأمين العام تقرير الأخير بشأن الحالة في ليبيا، متضمّنًا إشادة بدور المجلس الوطني للحريات وحقوق الإنسان باعتباره شريكًا أساسيًا في دعم سيادة القانون وتعزيز مسار العدالة الانتقالية وبناء مؤسسات الدولة.
وأشار التقرير في الفقرة (53 ) إلى الإفراج عن عشرات الأشخاص الذين كانوا محتجزين في مركز احتجاز قرنادة، وذلك نتيجة جهود متواصلة بذلها المجلس بالتعاون مع البعثة الأممية، في إطار دعم احترام الضمانات القانونية وحماية الحقوق الأساسية للمحتجزين.
وفي هذا السياق، يؤكد المجلس الوطني للحريات وحقوق الإنسان مواصلة اضطلاعه بدوره في تعزيز منظومة حقوق الإنسان وحمايتها وفق المعايير الدولية، مثمنًا في الوقت ذاته مستوى التعاون القائم مع السلطات المختصة في المنطقة الشرقية، بما يسهم في ترسيخ سيادة القانون ودعم الاستقرار المؤسسي.
UN Secretary-General’s Report Commends the National Council for Civil Liberties and Human Rights as a Key Partner in Supporting the Rule of Law, Advancing Transitional Justice, and Building State Institutions in Libya
The Secretary-General has issued his latest report on the situation in Libya, which includes commendation of the National Council for Civil Liberties and Human Rights as a key partner in supporting the rule of law, advancing the path of transitional justice, and building state institutions.
The report noted in paragraph (53) the release of dozens of individuals who had been detained at Qarnada Detention Center, as a result of sustained efforts undertaken by the Council in cooperation with the United Nations Mission. These efforts were carried out within the framework of supporting respect for legal safeguards and protecting the fundamental rights of detainees.
In this context, the National Council for Civil Liberties and Human Rights reaffirms its continued commitment to strengthening and protecting the human rights system in accordance with international standards. It also commends the level of cooperation with the competent authorities in the eastern region, which contributes to reinforcing the rule of law and supporting institutional stability.
